An AR filter to move listeners
BBC Sounds has an award-winning collection of music, radio and podcasts. The ‘Be Moved’ AR Filter is made up of three unique effects — each inspired by a piece of BBC Sounds audio.
These filter effects are notable for using two of Spark AR’s latest features: Audio Analysis and Renderpasses. Audio Analysis allows us to measure the energy of the audio tracks’ different frequencies and use that information to drive the animation intensity. Renderpasses are an advanced set of capabilities that we were able to Beta Test with Instagram that enables the creation of the trippy, swirling visuals you see in the Effects.
