ESPN’s Body Issue celebrates the human form in peak physical condition and sparks annual conversations about beauty norms and the wear and tear of professional sports careers. For its tenth anniversary, we partnered with the magazine to create a digital experience worthy of its place in culture.
Our challenge was to collaborate with the in-house development team at ESPN to design a site that felt as dynamic as the content, while still keeping it front and center. A free-form grid mixes stills, motion content and deliberately oversized moments, while fluid transitions make browsing seamless. The fast and performant mobile experience sacrifices nothing from the desktop version.
