Now We're Talkin'

A visual toolkit that reimagines the frustrations of customer support.

Intercom is an industry-leading customer communications platform that automates and optimizes support at scale. If this line of business conjures one emotion, it’s frustration. Customers frustrated with support. Support frustrated with their broken, overloaded systems. Cue on-hold music, enter blind rage — that’s where Intercom comes in. Stink Studios worked with Intercom to visualize these support problems and solutions through a toolkit of animations and illustrations leveraged over a series of campaigns and brand touchpoints, titled, “Now We’re Talkin.’”

Strategy and copywriting teams worked closely with Intercom to identify a set of audience-focused needs and brand responses. From these, the team concepted and brought to life a library of static and animated illustration elements with the help of illustrator Freddy Arenas.

As the Intercom brand team evolved their visual identity in tandem, the Now We’re Talkin’ campaign guidelines provided a broadly applicable evolution of the Intercom world that the team can continue to utilize over time.

We took this visual language and created a long-form narrative spot that outlines customer service pain points and Intercom's conversational support platform. Now we're talkin'.
